Legends of Sport Psychology Series
The seminar series began shortly after the onset of COVID-19, as a way to keep the global sport psychology community connected. Each seminar is about 90 minutes, beginning with a pre scripted 45 minute Q&A with the guest and Dr. Bloom, and is followed by a Q&A that includes questions and comments from many prominent members of our profession. A total of 10 leading scholars and practitioners in the field participated in these seminars, coming from Canada, the US, the UK and Australia. I’m happy to post the interviews for those people who weren’t able to attend the live zoom broadcasts. I hope you enjoy watching them as much I enjoyed interviewing these exceptional people.
Dr. Gordon Bloom, Professor and Chair, Dept of Kinesiology and Physical Education, McGill University

Due to the far-reaching impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, we would like to offer everyone the free use of our motor control / motor learning software and teaching resources. As a result of COVID-19, many of us post-secondary educators will be required to reduce our face-to-face interactions this year and must partially convert our courses for online delivery. Over the past several years Dana Maslovat (Langara College), and myself (Tony Carlsen, uOttawa) have co-developed computer-based lab experiences and have used them successfully in our own courses. For those of you teaching in the area of motor control, motor learning, or psychology, we have decided to share our suite of experiential lab activities that students can complete in class or at a distance, and are offering the software and resources free to use for the 2020-2021 academic year. This package of 22 labs consists of a wide variety of activities covering a range of topics such as information processing, vision, attention, learning, and also includes ancillary resources such as PowerPoint presentations, lab assignments, and quiz questions. For more information or to try the software, please go to https://motorlab.ca and click the “Download Now” button. We hope you will find this software helpful in delivering the learning outcomes for your course, and that you are staying safe and healthy. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
- Dear MotorLab User,
